DIVE BOAT AMIRA
Traditional workmanship combined with state-of-the-art technology
Amira is a wooden boat built locally by indigenous craftsmen according to ancient Pinisi ship builder’s traditions. The boat is equipped with a state-of-the-art navigation and security system and top-notch rescue equipment. Amira is 52 meters long and offers 9 comfortable, single and double cabins, each equipped with a personal shower, toilet and natural lighting. In addition, there is a cozy restaurant, a romantic lounge and a very spacious sun and dive deck.

Created for divers by divers
The dive deck is a generously designed space where every diver has its own designated space to gear up, it holds several rinse tanks, plenty of surface space and a large camera room. All together an ideal base camp from which to engage in the most beautiful dive expeditions possible.

Our crew is among the best in the field. We have approximately 25 crew members that are dedicated to our guests. We don"t just demand hard work from our crew but also reward them with fair employment standards.

Everything starts with a dream

The dream to build and operate his own dive boat was slowly nurtured during the time Bruno Hopff was working as a dive instructor on various dive boats and across different dive sites in Indonesia. The dream finally became reality when Maik Solf, owner of Aquaventure Germany, became his first business partner bringing along a wealth of experience organizing dive expeditions in Indonesia.

A Dream...

In August 2008 began the construction of "Amira" in the South of Indonesia, in Bira. The Amira is made entirely out of wood according to ancient Pinisi tradition. The ship builders, all originating from the same village, have passed on the art of ship building from generation to generation.

In September 2009 over the course of six, exciting weeks, the Amira was moved from the dock into the water using ancient but technically brilliant techniques. During the following year, the interior and final construction was completed in the port of Bira.

On the lower deck are 5 guest cabins (each aprox.14 m²) as well as 1 cabin for single travelers. All cabins have their own bathroom, 3 portholes, as well as their own individually adjustable air-conditioning system.

SUNDECK
The 140 m² sun deck invites for sunbathing and relaxation .... and offers an ideal place to enjoy the uniquely beautiful ocean and island world of Indonesia.

UPPER DECK
There are 3 guest cabins (13 m²) situated on the upper deck, each with it"s own bathroom, several windows and individually adjustable air-conditionaing system. Also on the upper deck is the wheel house and a quiet space to relax, offering comfortable deck chairs.

MAIN DECK
On the main deck is a comfortable, covered lounge that invites you to relax between dives. Also on the main deck is the restaurant seating 19 guests, as well as a cozy TV and lounge area. Our library holds text books to identify fish species and other marine life, as well as an assortment of fiction books.

On the spacious front deck are a number of lounge chairs and during hot temperatures the deck is covered with a sun roof to provide shade. Weather permitting, all our meals are generally served outside.

LOWER DECK
On the lower deck are 5 guest cabins (each aprox.14 m²) as well as one cabin for single travelers. All cabins have their own bathroom, 3 portholes, as well as their own individually adjustable air-conditioning system.

On the dive deck is room for max. 19 guests and max. 6 dive guides. There is plenty of room for storing cameras, dive lamps etc., and there are a number of rinse tanks. The diving equipment stays on the tank during the entire tour. Tanks will be filled in situ with air or Nitrox. In the camera room is a 9 m long work bench with possibilities for uploading and additional storage room available for our guests.

CABINS

There are 9 double cabins and 1 single cabin available for a max. of 19 guests. All double cabins can be arranged into twin beds or single beds. Five double cabins (14m²) as well as one single cabin (11m²) are situated on the lower deck, and 5 double cabins (13m²) are situated on the upper deck. All cabins have a full bath room with hot water showers and a toilet, a fan, and individually controlled air-condition system.
