I decided to write a review about the Dream Catcher 2 safari in the Maldives. In a nutshell, it is definitely worth the money. In more detail for those who are interested: I bought it at https://www.exotictime.ru/ (there is a redirect to a new site). They answered all my questions in detail, they even told about some of the disadvantages, they were not afraid. There was one question - it turned out that Aeroflot"s flight was 1 day later than the boat"s schedule, but it was quickly resolved. Even after the trip, they called and asked about my impressions. So well done, thank you. I was attracted, of course, by the price. Off-season, discounts, in short, very tempting. Well, a direct Aeroflot flight is more pleasant than options with transfers of several hours, although you can find it for 2-3 thousand cheaper. In addition to the off-season, as I understand it, the price was also affected by the fact that the yacht is not new. New friends whom I met on this safari told about the negative feedback, it was just about the age and condition of the yacht. In fact, everything is not bad at all. Well, in one cabin the door did not open very conveniently. Well, the plumbing is not new, the shower doors didn"t slide very well on the rails, you needed to apply a little effort, the lights could be brighter. All small details that did not spoil the the safari at all. The pros easily outweighed everything. First of all, about the off-season. There was rain. Not scary at all. In some ways, they even turned it into a positive with the absence of the scorching sun - no sun burns, just warmed ourselves from the heart. The first day, however, it was difficult to organize a dive, and then the guide periodically referred to the weather - they say, I don’t know if we will dive or postpone it – depends on the weather. The schedule shifted a little, but all the promised 17 dives were done. And they were great. There are a lot of different sharks, manta rays, various moray eels, different rays, all kinds of fish - emperors, parrots, triggers,... in short, the variety is excellent. Now about the yacht. Normal, quite decent cabins. Yes, not 5 stars, but for the price - a great option. Claims to the condition of the equipment are very minor, already described above. The guide is excellent. As it turned out later (he didn’t even tell it himself, he was embarrassed), but he opened new dive sites there. Did a great job with a group of divers with different level. The group was small, 8 divers (the yacht accommodates more, but we were part-loaded, which was also a plus). The staff was great; they all work very hard. The food is simple but quite good. Clean. The smell of household chemicals (cleaning products) interfered a little, but the air conditioner in the cabin eliminated it. The staff on the “dony” (for those who don’t know - from the safari boat they are loaded on a smaller vessel, and they are sent to the dive site) is quite normal. It is unusual that they always try to help in such things that I am used to do myself - put on fins, fasten my suit, put on my compensator, etc. The "Dony", by the way, is quite normal too. Well, except for the ladder to get out of the water. But the staff helps. In short, the safari is excellent by all accounts. Cons are insignificant. I definitely recommend. Yaroslav.
